New Community Support Worker
In 2021 we applied to Awards for All (the National Lottery charity) for a grant to employ another Community Support Worker. Our bid was successful, and we have now appointed a new worker so we will be able to offer an even better service to the Irish community.
Future of the Centre
The committee has decided that we will not renew the centre’s present lease, which ends in May 2023. We will use the next eighteen months to look at all options, including selling the premises on Wilford Street and moving to a more suitable building. We will use this period also to reach out to our members and other Irish Community groups to seek views on the future direction of the Irish Centre.
