Nottingham Irish Studies Group

The Nottingham Irish Studies group organise talks, workshops and discussions on Irish Culture, history, literature and related matters. You are most welcome to attend. Recent meetings, held in the Members Bar at the Centre, have covered Irish History events around 1916. Meeting are also held at the 5 Leaves Bookshop, 14a Long Row, Nottingham, NG1 2DH.

Irish Trad Sessions in Nottingham

This group of welcoming Irish Traditional Musicians meet most Sunday afternoons at various venues throughout the City. Go along for the craic, bring an instrument if you have one. If not just take yourself.

Nottingham Irish Golf Society

Ever fancied playing golf?  Why not give it a try in a wonderful social atmosphere. The Society was formed back in 1993 and since then we have had a wonderful Ireland Golf Trip every year at the end of April.  Guys and gals of all ages are made most welcome and there are matches throughout the year. The Society’s home course is Ruddington Grange GC, Ruddington Lane, Ruddington NG11 6NB.

If you are interested in playing or watching Gaelic games than St Barnabas GAC is the place for you? They currently provide Men’s, Ladies’ and Juvenile Football & Hurling. Everyone is welcome.  Founded in 1947 to provide a social outlet for the local Irish Community. Currently St Barnabas GAC play most of their home games at Trinity School, Beechdale Rd., Aspley, Nottingham, NG8 3EZ.

Nottingham Irish Pool Team

Nottingham Irish Pool Team

The Nottingham Irish pool team was formed in 2008. The​y play on Thursdays, at various venues around the City, as part of the Notts & District Pool league. The team’s successes include Richard Fitzmaurice and Luke Drury being two-time Nottingham Doubles champions. The nights offer a great chance to have a beer, a laugh and a good game!
